The David Suzuki Foundation is committed to maintaining your trust and confidence. The following privacy policy is designed to protect personal information you provide on our website. Please take the time to read this policy. Your right to privacy is very important to us.

Collecting Personal Information

The purpose of our website is to educate and inform the public about issues relating to the David Suzuki Foundation's goal of achieving sustainability within a generation. When you visit this site and access information, you are anonymous. We do not require you to provide personal information to view it.

However, when you donate or subscribe to receive email updates, we will ask for additional information. We do this to keep in touch with you through program updates, newsletters or email and provide you with services that may be valuable to you. On occassion, we may send solicitations to donate. If you make a donation, we require your full mailing address to send you a tax receipt.

Use of Information:

Email addresses

The David Suzuki Foundation never trades or sells email addresses. We use them only to provide you with information from the David Suzuki Foundation. You may stop receiving email at any time by unsubscribing. Alternatively, you can call 1-800-453-1533.

Donation information

Personal information of individuals who donate less than $100 per year may be made available to other non-profit organizations unless you request otherwise. This process of trading information with other like-minded organizations is common and an important way for us to solicit new funds to help our work continue. You may choose not to share this information. To do so, please leave a message with your postal code and surname clearly spelled out at 1-800-453-1533 or email contact@davidsuzuki.org . Email addresses of financial supporters are not traded.

Credit Card Data and Security

Donations made through our website are secured through 128-bit encryption to maintain your privacy. This encryption process is currently the most secure available and is verified through Verisign.
