FAQs for teachers

Can David Suzuki come to my class?
Unfortunately, no. Dr. Suzuki’s schedule does not allow him to visit classrooms and meet with students and teachers. And we simply do not have the resources for staff at the David Suzuki Foundation to do in-class visits. Sorry.

Can I share this resource with other teachers?
Absolutely! We want as many people as possible to learn how to protect nature. Please ask friends and colleagues to register online. This helps us keep track of where David Suzuki’s Nature Challenge is being used.

What do I do if I need help with an activity?
The Nature Challenge Teacher’s Guide has been designed to stand alone. Background information and suggested resources are provided for each activity.

Has the David Suzuki Foundation developed other Teachers’ Guides?
Not yet - but we’re working on it!  David Suzuki’s Nature Challenge at School currently meets BC curriculum standards, but we will be expanding the program to other provinces in the future. In the meantime, feel free to tailor the resource guide to the needs of your students, wherever you are.

Is there a French version?
Right now, the program is only in English. But translation of will be coming soon. Watch for David Suzuki’s Nature Challenge at School in French and other languages.
