Farmers' markets are in full swing across the country throughout the fall, and right through the winter in some cases. Local produce is closer, and closer means fresher. And if it's something you know doesn't grow nearby, your choices can still make a difference. If you’re on the west coast, California is better than, say, New Zealand. If you live in Toronto or Halifax, Florida or Texas are closer. Plus, by eating local you'll be helping your neighbors by buying what they grow. Find the farmers' market closest to you in Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario or Saskatchewan. No matter where you live, there’s probably a farmers' market close to you.
