Don’t just sit there - DO something!

This month’s Take Action, should you choose to accept it, is to send an e-mail asking the government to make manufacturers responsible for minimizing the pollution and waste that comes from using their products.

Europe has passed “extended producer responsibility” laws that require manufacturers to be responsible for their packaging and products - from creation to disposal. It’s a model Canada should follow.

Write Industry Minister David Emerson and let him know that you expect Canadian manufacturers to redesign their products so that all components can either be re-used or recycled.

Fax action has ended for this event.
