Smog without borders One of the things that makes smog such a complicated issue is that we share our air—and air pollution-- with other regions. For example, smog from Ohio drifts up to Southern Ontario. It works the other way around, too. Smog in Southern Ontario flows into New York state, Quebec, and the Maritimes. We’re interconnected by air. And since air travels, pollution becomes a shared problem. That’s why it’s important for all levels of society--individual, business and government - to work together to protect our air.
