Media Madness

We launched the tour a few days ago and had a great turn-out!

Members of the press corps came by to talk to Dr. Suzuki about the tour. Here's a story that ran in yesterday's Globe and Mail. The tour is really kicking into high gear. Our team is in Newfoundland getting ready for the first gig tomorrow. It's exciting, kind of like seeing someone throw a match into a fireworks factory.

Team Suzuki has been working really hard for the past couple of months, and now the work is paying off! Have a look here and find out when Dr. Suzuki will be rolling into your town.

SOMETHING has got to be done in order to save our beautiful planet Earth! We can no longer stand idly by as pollutants are spewed into the air and our oceans as well. We need to put our heads together and come up with ideas for alternative energy for heating our homes, running our cars, etc. The bottom line is that we have only one Earth, and once this one is destroyed, that's it. Game over. This is URGENT: Take actions to save her or lose her forever.

What's funny is that I had an interview to be the 'next great prime minister' (cbc's new reality show premiering in March) back in November. I said that the environment would be my main priority and the interviewer asked me what I would do first as prime minister to combat our environmental problems. I stumbled for a few seconds because I was trying to think which of the many changes need to be made first and I simply replied that I would try to hire David Suzuki as my environment minister. Unfortionately, the people at CBC didn't select me as a candidate to be on the show.
