Good morning Waterloo!

We received a nice warm welcome on a cold day when we arrived at the U of Waterloo Humanities theatre.

A bigger shock for us was that we rolled into town early. Yay! Time to spare. When we've got the Doc doing media all day--both TV and radio, plus an event or two each day--it's not hard to have only minutes to set-up for our events.

When these precious extra minutes present themselves, which is rare on this wild and crazy schedule, you quickly learn to take advantage of the opportunity to eat, power nap, check email, and get on top of your overloaded cell phone's voicemail. Technology, a blessing in disguise, I suppose. Maybe the Doc is onto something living "sans" cell phone?

Despite cold temperatures and blowing snow, this event was beyond sold out. In fact, they broadcasted the presentation to other venues on campus. It was a pleasure Waterloo! Your passion about the environment was evident, even if we only explored the short walk from the bus to the venue.

In Windsor later that night, you should have seen the stage that the organizers put together for this event. It was a very real depiction of the choices we have in how we want our environment to look. On the left side of the stage was a dead tree, weeds, scraps of metal and garbage and the right side flourished with greenery, a fountain, birds and other wildlife. Well done! The fountain truly gave that babbling brook effect - I'm just glad I went to the washroom before the event began!

I braved the snow to see Dr. Suzuki talk in Windsor- and I'm so glad I did! Wow! What an inspiring and interesting talk! I'll never forget that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Thank you so much for coming to Windsor, good luck on the rest of your tour.
