After surviving the long bus trip from Winnipeg to Regina, we scampered up to the University of Regina after a quick stop at Regina's CTV studios.
It was evident that people from Regina and Barrie, ON had several things in common - one of which, the need for renewed focus on light rail transport.
The Eco-fair in the lobby created a bustling, exciting atmosphere and Team Suzuki soaked it all up.
David seems to be coming down with a cold. But he's too much of a pro to give any indication he's in need of some time off. Despite shaking hundreds of hands, interviews in -30 degree weather and a schedule that would flatten a superhero, the Doc soldiers on.

It was an absolutely amazing night to see David Suzuki speak. This was my first time seeing him live.
It was so refreshing to see so many people show up, and show they care. It seems more and more people are willing to implement change in their lives in order to make a difference with our climate and environment.
What's best is a lot of these people don't see the necessary changes as "dramatic" or "Bending over backwards to make a differece". It's great!
Cheers from Regina...

Greetings from Regina! I enjoyed the presentations on Access Cable, our local station which carried the footage from the University of Regina. Ever since I was young, I have been fascinated with the environment and Dr. Suzuki was greatly instrumental in that.
I am very concerned about the environment and hearing Dr. Suzuki speak of it in such dire terms scares me. I feel a need to take some sort of action but I also feel overwhelmed by the lack of action by our Government. One would figure a Conservative would want to conserve. Regardless, I am doing everything I know of to save water, energy, and recyclables but I am just one man.
I want to be physically involved as more and more I feel my occupation is adding to the devastation. On a recent tour of the storage areas, we were proudly shown boxes of literally Millions of throw-away paper tickets that the casino has switched to for slot machine payouts.
My jaw dropped and I had to stifle my surprise. Those million tickets would not last 6 months. They usually end up on the ground, which ends up in the trash, and the casino does not recycle these.
I would love to see more corporations take Environmentally friendly actions, instead of backpedalling the work us common citizens are doing to help the environment sustain. Upon mentioning this to a manager, I was informed it is more Cost-Efficient to clear-cut thousands of trees for this singular use, instead of using coins for payout. This is getting ridiculous, as I cant imagine the casino making much money without humans alive to gamble.
How can we help talk rational sense into those who make the decisions like this? Is it the CEO or CFO or just some unknown shadow-council from Star Wars? lol
It just seems so plainly obvious to me that without a healthy environment to live in, there will be no humans to partake in the spending of money. Just an abaondoned building full of darkly quiet slot machines, paper tickets blowing gently along the ground.
