Going, going...
Last Chance To See is the title of a 1990 book by Douglas Adams and Mark Carwardine about threatened and endangered species.
Animals aren't the only things threatened by global warming; places are threatened as well. Among the many troubling aspects of global warming is the profound change it's wreaking on popular tourist destinations. Things we like to think of as eternal and abiding aren't. They're disappearing fast. Glaciers, forests, landscapes -- all kinds of natural wonders are threatened.
The Washington Post put together a comprehensive package for travelers on what's threatened, how long it could last, when it could be gone by and what you need to do to see it while it still exists.
Think of it as a mix of eco-tourism, disastercizing and motivation.
