David Pogue writes about technology for The New York Times. He also reports on the subject for CBS News. With technology's increasing importance for solutions to environmental problems, Mr. Pogue writes about the environment more and more. Today, all that combines in a blog post about an upcoming story he'll be doing for CBS this weekend (it's scheduled, and if it doesn't get bumped, it'll run) about students finding new ways to make houses as energy-efficient as possible.

Inovative technology is the only thing that can save us.
University students hold the key to getting our environment back! They are young and energetic, with more skills than baby boomers had at the same age!
Our leaders think we need to build bigger and more: more war, bigger homes, more roads, more bridges, bigger airports, etc., yet cut spending on children.
That is NOT what we need!
We need high tech solutions: good rapid transit, more solar, better sewage treatment that does not go into water supplies, no more unproven manmade chemicals and drugs, less war, etc.
Maybe we need free university! Our children should be our number one resource!
Go university students!
