So far, I like this blog. I've been waiting for a Canadian version of a blog. So many sites still seem set on the old 'Forum' format.

The new site looks great, and I love the podcast feature. I look forward to meeting you in Regina on your tour.

Keep up the important work you're an absolute inspiration.

Cheers,

i emailed Mr. Suzuki a week back having matched his outrage and frustration over goverment policies and the countdown being closer to 5 years for the serious action that MUST TAKE PLACE. I want to put this out there again in frustration and bordering on rage...,. Is is not Crazy for Suzuki and all other higher scientists to continue to wait and continue to fight for our planet without entering into politics replacing the status quo Yes your scientists -- however who would you back Mr Suzuki do you not think that the time is now rather than continuing on the sidelines and your few moments of national/global airtimes that you yourself have stated that will be replaced by the next gossip scandal out of LA while enjoying the good weather saying Look Ma no proplem here. We also dont have time to wait and expect the Green Party to get in without your backing thank you.

Quelles sont les intentions de la fondation Suzuki face aux sables bitumineux ?

Lets encourage Ottawa to legislate a Cap and Trade system for our greenhouse gas emissions. We need a level playing field that will encourage business to innovate and grow in the right direction.

In response to katefish. Perhaps you need to watch the documentary An Inconvienent Truth. Al Gore is an environmentalist and former Vice President who's been speaking on the topic of global warming for over three decades. In politics change ONLY occurs when public opinion changes. Dr. Suzuki has been trying to change public opinion for over 30 years. I grew up watching A Nature of Things. I credit Mr Suzuki, in part, for my love of the environment and wildlife.

While I acknowledge humans have an impact on nature which is often abusive, I have a great deal of difficulty with the idea of an evolutionist trying to prevent change as if it is immoral. Supposedly, sixty-five million years ago dinosaurs ruled the earth and then a chance asteroid-earth impact changed the climate so drastically that these giants died out. Why is climate change a happening that makes an evolutionist afraid? So what? Won't some even more developed mammal slowly take over the world, just as they did after the dinosaur age? Its just survival of the fittest, right? Nature just happens by chance, right? There is no morality involved with whether a gene mutates or not. Then logically (or not), things just happen, so why get excited over a couple degrees of climate warming???
