Wild in Winnipeg!

Today we found ourselves half way across Canada in Winnipeg, Manitoba. And the 'Peg did not disappoint!

We filled the historic 100-year-old Burton Cummings Theatre. But what set this event apart from the others was the long line-up that snaked its way around the block. Even with chilled fingers the audience filled out "vote for the environment" ballots and donned campaign buttons before taking their seats. We really enjoyed ourselves, and the fun looks as if it will continue as we keep heading west!

I'm a big fan of David and his goals. I'm in Winnipeg, unfortunatly I had to work the night the tour was here.

I have been a fan of Dr. Suzuki since I was a child. I find it disappointing that his story "There ought to be a law" posted in Canoe News is sponsored by an automobile prominently displayed beside his story. This seems to contradict what is being said. The automobile is one of the least sustainable of consumer items presently manufactured in the world. The planned obsolescence is what makes the automobile market so robust.
