My father advocated selective old growth cutting, cut one plant three, as well as other forms of sustainable logging back in the 1960s. He was a lumberman, woodcrafter & forestry consultant who visited many countries trying to educate logging companies & others. He earned mention in "Who's Who" & an award from the Elks Club International for his efforts. It's a shame that there's still clear-cutting going on 40 years later!
