The Vatican, it's hoped, won't be able to see the carbon for the trees.
The Catholic Church gets some help in its efforts to go green. First, it installed solar panels to get some renewable energy into the Vatican grid. Now a company called Klimafa in Hungary is restoring environmentally degraded land with an ecosystem restoration while offering to make the Vatican the world's first carbon neutral state.

I heard Dr, Suzuki speak in Walkerton Ontario, several years ago and was shocked with his assessment of global warming. I also picked up a copy of the Sacred Balance and was inspired by Dr. Suzuki's support for conscientious environmentally friendly religious organizations. And I'm happy to learn that numerous religious groups are preaching the green message. I just hope we have enough time left to do something about this menace called climate change.

I also read Sacred Balance and believe in Dr. Suzuki's vision. I ordered Silent Spring from my community library.
As for religious groups, I wish their leaders would step out of politics. Religion and politics does not and never should be mixed. We all want freedom to honour our gods or not as we believe.
