Canadians tell PM to lead at Copenhagen | Climate & Clean Energy | David Suzuki Foundation

By Panos Grames, Outreach Coordinator

During the past month, over 9,100 Canadians have taken part in David Suzuki Foundation campaigns to phone, email or send greeting cards to the Prime Minister —all asking for Canada to stop obstructing a climate deal and to start taking a leadership position. The videos of your telephone calls to the Prime Minister have been outstanding, so we've made a video montage for you to see. People phoned from every corner of the country, and ranged in age from 9 to 98.

You're uniformly polite, well informed, occasionally funny, and willing to engage when given the opportunity. Sounds pretty Canadian, eh?

After the barrage of calls from such a wide spectrum of Canadians, it's not surprising that our Prime Minister recently decided to attend the UN Summit in Copenhagen.

Make your own video before Sunday, December 6th at midnight. Then we start the voting process on Monday, December 7th: you get to decide whose videos the David Suzuki Foundation will show at the UN Climate Summit.
