Oceans impact everyone's daily life. Whether it's through the air we breathe, the seafood we eat or even the tranquility we feel when we are able to spend an afternoon on the water. Understanding our connection to our oceans helps to reaffirm the importance of protecting this amazing resource.

In the Pacific north coast region known as PNCIMA, the ocean provides these local Canadian communities with up to one quarter of their income through fisheries and up to 60 million in tourism revenues.
