Photo: Will Premier's talk be reflected in today's budget?

By Ian Bruce, Climate Change Program Team Lead

B.C. Premier Gordon Campbell says in today's Globe and Mail witnessing the "Spring Olympics" caused by Vancouver's warmest winter on record has convinced him to accelerate action on climate change. Let's hope Premier Campbell showcases this renewed conviction to act on climate change when the BC government releases its 2010 budget today. Transit and cycling infrastructure, home energy-efficiency retrofits (i.e., bringing the LiveSmart program back to life), and renewable-energy incentives are just some of the investments needed to move B.C. toward a more innovative, low-carbon economy.
