Norma Romann has been both generalist and specialist at the David Suzuki Foundation. For her first three years she was a generalist — stuffing envelopes, hosting events and performing reception duties. Recently, she became the social media coordinator — a specialized role that's a great fit for her education, experience and interests.
Norma studied International Relations with a focus on Environmental History and Policy at the University of British Columbia, honing her combined social media and social change skills. The David Suzuki Foundation benefits from her lifelong commitment to sustainable living and not-for-profit organizations, as well as her love of science-based solutions.
And she's just getting started! Norma used her wealth of professional experience to start her own online communications business (www.normaromann.com). As most business owners can tell you, it's often more than a full-time job. This has not stopped her from sharing time and expertise with the Foundation.
