Canadians coast to coast get good and dirty.

How are your outside shoes looking these days? If you're one of over 4,000 families that participated in our Fall Family Challenge, they're probably good and dirty.

Over the past month, families coast to coast took on the challenge of getting outside together during one of the busiest times of the year. From Truro, Nova Scotia, to Cedar, B.C., families took to their backyards, parks and local green spaces to explore local biodiversity, ecosystems and more.

At the Foundation, we were inspired by the photos, stories and feedback.

If you participated, please share your experiences with us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. And even if you didn't, we always love to hear how Canadians are connecting with nature.

That's a wrap for this year, but be sure to mark May 2014 in your calendars—that's when the 30 × 30 Nature Challenge kicks off a month of outdoor fun. So stay tuned!
