Watch out! The Suzuki Elders are movers and shakers working for a better planet. (Credit: Calamity Meg via Flickr)

Have you heard enthusiastic stories from family members or friends about having cut their activist teeth during the 60's and 70's? Maybe you self-identify as an elder—50 plus, still working full or part time, or retired?

Attention boomers and beyond: It's time you joined the Council of Elders at the David Suzuki Foundation! They're a voluntary group who bring their voices, experiences and memories to mentor, motivate and support other elders and younger generations in dialogue and action on environmental issues. Suzuki Elders listen, learn, share and act through educating, communicating, connecting and advocacy.

November 24, 2011 join the Suzuki Elders for an Environment Forum at the Vancouver Public Library downtown. Register online now for $55 (includes lunch)!

You'll enjoy keynotes by Terry O'Reilly (of CBC's Age of Persuasion) and our very own, David Suzuki, plus practical workshops. I'm facilitating a workshop called "Start with a story". Check out the full program for more information about speakers and workshop descriptions.

What kind of world do you want to leave behind for your children and grandchildren?

Sincerely,
Lindsay Coulter, Queen of Green
