Garden summary video for May

In this video, Calvin gives a quick garden tour during the second last weekend in May.

Here is our intended schedule of upcoming events, blogs, & videos.  If you have a specific question about anything you see or read, send us a quick comment and we'll dive into that topic right away!

In June
Turf strategies using normal grasses, "eco" grasses, white clover, weed control, soil building, all pesticide and emissions free.  We'll share how we did it, and hopefully get more ideas from others!  Plus we'll check in on the fruit/vegetable growing every month too.

In July
Water management.  We use several rain water collection and distribution systems, as well as unique ways to add the water to the gardens without too much evaporation or weed growth.

In August
We'll blog about everything else.  Solar power, solar heating, composting and garden/house exterior maintenance...etc.  I'm sure by this time we'll also have plenty of new ideas from you, Neshali, and Sherry&Terry to talk about too!

I would like you to help me this fall with my garden. You can give me some suggestions and advise to plant some ground cover under the trees.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.

Calvin - you are lovely and you must have lovely parents as it is evident they have taught you very well and to be so smart at the tender age of 5. Wow! I am also blogging for David Suzuki (but won't get a gnome, but that's ok because you should get it for sure). I am learning how to use the blog tonight and I just watched your video. Calvin - there is hope for the planet yet with people like you in it. Let's have some fun and get to work!
