Norm Daniels

- “My first introduction to David was through watching the Nature of Things on TV years ago,” Norm explains. “More recently we have been looking at a number of ways of to become a greener company and one of those initiatives is to try and generate some revenue for a worthwhile environmental foundation. After attending one of David’s seminars at the University of Toronto, it was clear that whatever contribution we could make to the David Suzuki Foundation would be put to good use.”

Norm is the president of Vitamin Company called Body Plus and has been working in the health food and natural health products industry his entire adult life. Body Plus does its best to be as progressive as they can when it comes to product and lifestyle education. One of their main missions is to help people make prudent choices and to guide them in their quest to achieve vibrant health. “It only makes sense that our company as well as our entire industry try to provide that same service when it comes to the health of our planet” says Norm.

He further explains that Body Plus donates a portion of their proceeds to the David Suzuki Foundation because it gives them an opportunity to raise awareness to the environmental challenges that lay ahead. It also reminds their customers that we must all find a way to be part of the solution.

Norm feels that support of the David Suzuki Foundation goes towards the pressing and urgent problems that our planet faces. “I truly hope that the foundation is doing everything it can to make a difference and to guide and encourage people to take action.”

Norm feels that climate change has to be everyone’s top priority. “While there are many other issues that need our attention, climate change is the most urgent and we will suffer the greatest consequences if we fail to take action. And giving is only one piece of the puzzle. We all have to make a personal commitment to change the way we live and to lead a smarter and more sustainable lifestyle. But you can only do so much in your own home and you only have one voice. The David Suzuki Foundation can speak to other citizens and to our elected officials in a way that we as individuals can’t. So do as much as you can to live a greener life and support charitable organizations like the David Suzuki Foundation. This way they can shout the message from the tallest buildings so that as many people as possible understand the problem and are inspired to take action themselves.”
