The Association of Suzuki Elders is sponsoring the second in a series of Elders and Environment Forums on Thursday November 24, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Central branch of the Vancouver Public Library. This year's theme is built around the question "What can I do?" Our Forum's response is, "Start where you are."

We begin with an introduction by Conrad Guelke, Chair of the Suzuki Elders, and Peter Robinson, CEO of the David Suzuki Foundation. Our keynote address, "Start with your message" will be given by Terry O'Reilly from CBC's Age of Persuasion. Discussion/action groups will be led by Herb Barbolet ("Start with what we eat"), Amanda Pitre-Hayes ("Start with where we live"), Lindsay Coulter ("Start with an action"), and Jackie Larkin ("Start with our selves"). Dr. David Suzuki will deliver the closing plenary ("Start where we are: standing on elder ground"). For more information and to register, visit the event website.
