This Saturday September 14, you can take in an art exhibit and support ocean conservation—all in a single event.

Painting for Change—September 14th 2:00 PM
Petley Jones Gallery: 1554 West 6th Avenue, Vancouver

At the David Suzuki Foundation, we strive to to conserve our environment and find solutions that will create a sustainable Canada through science-based research, education and policy work.

But there's more to nature than we can express through words, policy or scientific research. That's why the environmental movement needs artists like Amelia Alcock-White, who is the force behind the Painting for Change event. "Art's mission is beyond being decorative or merely pleasing; it has potential to awaken, arouse; provoke thought and discussion," says Alcock-White on her website.

Get your $20 ticket before 2pm Saturday for a chance to win the painting, with proceeds to ocean conservation, including the David Suzuki Foundation. Get tickets online, or at the event this weekend.
