Film premiere screening
Join the David Suzuki Foundation and Citizen Group, in conjunction with Specialty Studios, for the Vancouver premiere screening of So Right, So Smart — an award-winning documentary about sustainable business.
Focused on the story of Interface Carpets, a business making significant progress towards sustainability, and its pioneering CEO, the late Ray Anderson, the film looks behind the scenes at the decision to pursue sustainability, challenges along the way, and Ray Anderson's unswerving leadership towards the goal of a better way to do business. The film also features other pioneers in the sustainable business revolution including Yvon Chouinard, Amory Lovins, John Picard, Paul Hawken, and David Suzuki.
Anyone looking to find encouraging news in the midst of our current economic crisis will be inspired by this film's story of collective leadership and hope. The companies featured show that adapting to natural systems is smarter than trying to control them, and that sustainability represents history's most expansive profit frontier since the Industrial Revolution.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion entitled, "Business Leadership for Sustainability: How do we build on the legacy of Ray Anderson?" Panelists and members of the audience will be invited to consider how we encourage up-and-coming business leaders to embrace sustainability, and how the business community overall must take a leadership role in the sustainability shift we must make.
