Human health and the environment are intimately connected -through the food we eat, the water we drink, and the air we breathe. As a result, what we do to nature, we do to ourselves. Preventing pollutants and toxics from entering our air, water and food would have a profound effect on public health in Canada. The David Suzuki Foundation is promoting policies that will bring Canadian environmental health standards up to par with the best international practices.
What's New!
Health Report Series This series of five reports on health and the environment--prepared for the David Suzuki Foundation by environmental lawyer David Boyd-- looks to provide workable solutions to improve Canada's poor environmental health regulations. Sustainability Within A Generation
The David Suzuki Foundation sees a future where Canadians won’t have to think twice about drinking a glass of tap water, eating food from their local grocery store, swimming in a local river or lake, or simply taking a deep breath of air. And future generations would enjoy the same spectacular natural heritage and quality of life that we enjoy today. |
