I used to commercial fish with my father close to Port Simpson. Once, we were drifting with the tide going out towards the Pacific Ocean, when dad pointed out these baby killer whales swimming beside the boat.

Of course, my jaw dropped in amazement. Then, all of a sudden, the mother whale breached, about twenty feet away from the boat.

I will never forget that moment.

All my relations.

Message to Canadians: It takes one litre of oil to contaminate one million litres of water. Protect our waters.
