Al Gore's Nobel Peace Prize a richly deserved win

October 12, 2007 David Suzuki congratulated Al Gore and the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change on winning the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize today for their efforts to raise awareness on climate change.

"I am ecstatic and over the moon," said Dr. Suzuki. "This was a richly deserved honour. The entire environmental community is jumping for joy at this recognition of the importance of the issue and Mr. Gore's role in bringing it to the fore."
