VANCOUVER - It may be back-to-school time, but don't put away your outside shoes just yet.

On Saturday, September 14, the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Green Squad, a newly formed youth volunteer group from S.U.C.C.E.S.S.'s Youth Leadership Millennium program, will join the David Suzuki Foundation and the Stanley Park Ecology Society to launch the second annual Fall Family Challenge at the Stanley Park Nature House on Lost Lagoon.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. chief operating officer Kelly Ng and Stanley Park Ecology Society executive director Patricia Thomson will join Rachelle Delaney, Connecting Youth with Nature project lead at the David Suzuki Foundation, for a news conference to kick-start the month-long Fall Family Challenge. The media event will be followed by a guided nature walk to nearby Beaver Lake.

This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the Stanley Park Ecology Society and the 40th anniversary of S.U.C.C.E.S.S., the largest immigration-services agency in Vancouver. The David Suzuki Foundation is thrilled to launch the 2013 Fall Family Challenge with friends from diverse communities.

Stanley Park Nature House (1900 Alberni Street) is on the Southeast shore of Lost Lagoon and under the viewing plaza at the North end of Alberni Street.
