VANCOUVER– The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has summarized the findings of the IPCC Fifth Assessment Reports (AR5) into a synthesis report for policymakers to be released November 2, 2014.

In anticipation, DSF has summarized key findings of the IPCC’s three reports released over the past 13 months examining the solutions, risks and science of climate change and included additional research relevant for Canada. We also outline what Canadian governments can do while maximizing potential benefits to citizens and business.

The IPCC concludes that we are on an unsustainable and risky path with respect to the global build-up of carbon pollution in the atmosphere and associated disruption to climate systems, including more extreme weather events. Cost-effective solutions exist. We can prioritize clean energy solutions while improving our quality of life.
