Flying, driving, and heating buildings all produce polluting carbon emissions. These emissions create a heat trapping blanket in the atmosphere, which contributes to global warming.

Carbon neutral means having no net impact on the climate. The most important solution to global warming is for all of us to reduce the size of our carbon footprint - by driving less, flying less, and switching to renewable energy sources.
However, at present we cannot reduce our carbon footprint to zero. Going carbon neutral is a way to address the remaining footprint, by purchasing carbon offsets.
Carbon offsets are simply credits for reductions in the carbon dioxide (CO2) achieved elsewhere by projects such as wind farms or solar installations.
Athletes can go carbon neutral in their sport in 3 simple steps:
1. Measure your competition-related emissions (we are happy to do this for you if you send us your travel schedule)
2. Reduce (we have lots of ideas to help you with this)
3. Purchase Gold Standard carbon offsets through Canadian offset provider,
Planetair.ca.
