When Peter was a little boy, it was his father who instilled in him a great love for nature and all its creatures. That passion has stayed with him and was amplified recently when Peter moved to British Columbia. Hiking in the beautiful and majestic rain forests and diving and kayaking on the ocean evoke a sense of responsibility and a life mission to protect the remaining natural resources.

When he’s not outside enjoying the beautiful outdoor activities that British Columbia has to offer, Peter is actively pressuring the government on all levels for positive change. He is engaged in several local environmental groups and volunteers at numerous events in the city. He believes that his journey has been a fantastic one; Peter continually sees positive changes in the attitudes of his friends, family and colleagues.

Life is about making choices and Peter strongly believes in making the right ones - sustainable ones. “We’re not just here to consume, it’s not all about ‘me, me, me’ - says Peter. “It’s all about me in the context of ‘everybody else’”. Peter still enjoys all life has to offer, but asks himself how his choices are going to affect the environment before making a decision.

Peter cares deeply about the protection of our oceans. He feels that the David Suzuki Foundation is making headway with its many programs, including the Sea Choice program for sustainable fishing. Of equal importance to Peter is the protection of the Boreal forests and global climate change issues.

Peter always admired David Suzuki and his organization, for their perseverance and reluctance to abandon tough issues. He’s a fervent supporter of the David Suzuki Foundation and truly feels that his monthly contribution is making a real difference for the environment. Peter enjoys talking to the Foundation’s team members and finds them friendly and helpful - giving him a feeling that his money is well spent.
