In light of the declining salmon populations of coastal BC, this publication focuses on the value of community-based fisheries. Calling for a reversal of the trend towards greater corporate concentration, Dan Edwards and Terry Glavin argue that conservation of fisheries is best accomplished when the responsibilities for stewardship rest in the fishing communities which are dependent on the resource.
