On March 22nd, 2011 the Playlist for the Planet was released on iTunes and in stores across Canada. The Playlist features some of Canada's finest songwriters and performers, including Randy Bachman, Joel Plaskett, Bruce Cockburn, K-OS and Sebastian Granger, Gordon Lightfoot, Todd Butler, Hayley Sales, Alpha Yaya Diallo, DOA, Tom Jackson, Johnny Reid, Raffi, LIGHTS, Jessie Farrell, Rush, the Trews, Tara Grand, Great Big Sea, and Tanya Tagaq.

They are joined by these winners (see below) of the Playlist for the Planet song search conducted with CBC Radio 3. A public vote chose these artists from over 600 submissions.

Proceeds from the Playlist for the Planet go to the David Suzuki Foundation.
