This fall, the David Suzuki Foundation and Progressive Intercultural Community Services joined forces to create the "Punjabi by Nature" challenge. Participants were invited to get outside every day for 30 minutes from September 17 to October 14, reconnect with nature and vote on which bhangra move David Suzuki would learn.

The votes are in... and the winner is JUGNI!

David met with the Shan-E-Punjab Little Stars at the South Asian Arts studio in Surrey to learn the bhangra moves. Check out his dance skills:

Spending time in nature is good for health, head and happiness. Studies show that going outside increases energy, boosts immunity and reduces stress. Here are a few tips to help you get your daily dose of vitamin N:

  • Ditch the indoor gym and go for a run, walk or bike ride at a park or beach instead
  • Grab you gloves and spend time in a community or backyard garden
  • Use your lunch break to get out of the office and visit a balcony garden, beach or green space
  • Read a book under a leafy tree
